Static Fire Test Stand

In order to validate and characterize NYU Rogue Aerospace's first hybrid propulsion system, my senior design team and I created Zuko, a modular static fire test stand.

Project Requirements

• test stand shall withstand all structural, vibrational, and thermal loading experienced during a static fire
• test stand shall accommodate propulsion systems up to 10” in diameter and 8’ in length
• thrust data from load cell shall be transmitted wirelessly and able to be monitored live
• test stand shall be able to be assembled/disassembled in under 30 min
